Our Church honors the Removal of the Holy Relics of St Nicholas on Friday 20/5.

His Eminence Metropolitan Ignatius of Demetrias will service a liturgy in the Metropolitan Church of St Nicholas in Almyros, at 6.30 p.m. and he will preach God's Word. On the day of the Feast there will be a grand Divine Service.

Also, a grand Divine service will be performed at the Metropolitan Church of St Nicholas in Volos.

The removal of the relics of St Nicholas is specially honored in the Central Port Authority in Volos, where a small chapel is situated, in memory of the Patron Saint of the Navy. On the eve of the feast there will be grand festive Vespers, with "artoklasia loaves" and preaching. The Headpriest Theodoros Batakas will give a speech. The ceremony is to be attended by the Harbor Master of Volos, the officers, non-commissioned officers and the staff of the Port Authority, as well as people connected to the sea.
