On the 23rd of August the Monastery of Panaghia Xenia in Almiros celebrates the feast of our Virgin Mary. At the celebrations, the Metropolitans of Vrestheni Theoklitos, of Velestino Damaskinos, of Demetrias Ignatios shall take part.

But our local church is also at the very happy situation to know that at last all the efforts to reconstruct the old Monastery (built in the 19th century) that sufferred of the earthquakes of 1980 have come to a result. The works of the reconstructions have already began at this historical and miraculus monastery.
