On Tuesday 29/11 the mortal remains of the Saint Nikiforos Lepros, from the Karies of Mountain Athos were welcomed in the Cathedral of Saint Nikolaos. The Metropolitan of Vrestheni Theoklitos took part in the celebrating welcome Vespels, in which he talked about his experience with the Saint Nikiforos. Fr Charilaos Papageorgiou also talked at the end of the Vespels, thanked for the blessing that our Cathedral and people shall receive by the holy remains.

Due to this joyful event, the Archimandrite Serafim Zafeiris, preacher of the Holy Metropolis of Fthiotida,  will talk on Friday 2/12 at 7pm. After his talk, at 8pm an evening holy Liturgy shall take place.

Saint Nikiforos' holy remains shall return to Karies on Saturday December 3rd, at 11am.
