Αctivities
Our members participate actively as catechists in parish youth groups, as camp leaders in the camps of the Diocese of Demetrias and as youth workers in parish youth centers
Annual week-long seminar (2001: "Church and Inter-gender relations", 2002: "Wealth and the Orthodox Church", 2003: "Education: mistakes, obstacles and perspectives")
Visits, pilgrimages and excursions to other cities of Greece or abroad (Italy, Turkey)
Annual inter-Orthodox camps for youth from all over the world onTrikeri Island, at the Monastery of St John the Forerunner in AnatoliAyias, and in St Lavrentios village, on Mount Pelion
Participation in inter-Orthodox youth programs of Syndesmos, the World Fellowship of Orthodox Youth, and in national youth conferences
Theatrical, music, ecological, sports, social groups
Cultural events in Volos and other smaller towns of the area
Operation of the Youth Center "Perasma" (63 Vassani Str., Volos)
Who we are
The Youth Association is a legally recognized body
Is governed by a five-member elected Board of Administration
Consists of youth from 18 to 35 years old, living in the Diocese of Demetrias, and participating actively in the youth activities of their Parish and Diocese
The Youth Association is independent and non-profit. It is funded exclusively through fees & gifts from its members, grants from ecclesiastical or other organizations, and donations from individuals.

New year's blessing

The blessing of the new year by the Metropolitan of Demetrias Ignatios is programmed for Saturday 21/1/2017 at 9.00pm in the Conference Center of Thessaly. A bus shall arrive from the Spiritual Center (Anth.Gazi-Kartali street) at 7.30pm. We will be happy to see all of you! fr Chris Chachamidis -

Easter Bazaar 2016
Friday, 29 April, 2016Syndesmos organized the Easter Bazaar 2016, in which young people sold handmade candles and sweets. Everything that was sold, was made with much love during our workshop meetings. We would like to thank everyone each of you for your support. The bazaar took place on Lazaros Saturday 23/4/2016, outside the Diocese Cathedral Saint Nikolaos. The earnings will be given to our brothers and sisters who are in great need of financial support.... -

The invitation is open for all the young people from around the world who want to join our friendship, for an unforgettable night, full of music, chorus, chant, carols, charity kiosk and many surprises. Christmas bazaar 2015
Tuesday, 15 December, 2015For one more year the Syndesmos of our Youth shall implement the Christmas bazaar out of the Cathedral of Saint Nikolaos, in the center of Volos city. There will be available for selling many things such as liqueur, sweets, calendars and many more. The earnings will be given to our brothers and sisters who need our support.
