Αctivities
Our members participate actively as catechists in parish youth groups, as camp leaders in the camps of the Diocese of Demetrias and as youth workers in parish youth centers
Annual week-long seminar (2001: "Church and Inter-gender relations", 2002: "Wealth and the Orthodox Church", 2003: "Education: mistakes, obstacles and perspectives")
Visits, pilgrimages and excursions to other cities of Greece or abroad (Italy, Turkey)
Annual inter-Orthodox camps for youth from all over the world onTrikeri Island, at the Monastery of St John the Forerunner in AnatoliAyias, and in St Lavrentios village, on Mount Pelion
Participation in inter-Orthodox youth programs of Syndesmos, the World Fellowship of Orthodox Youth, and in national youth conferences
Theatrical, music, ecological, sports, social groups
Cultural events in Volos and other smaller towns of the area
Operation of the Youth Center "Perasma" (63 Vassani Str., Volos)
Who we are
The Youth Association is a legally recognized body
Is governed by a five-member elected Board of Administration
Consists of youth from 18 to 35 years old, living in the Diocese of Demetrias, and participating actively in the youth activities of their Parish and Diocese
The Youth Association is independent and non-profit. It is funded exclusively through fees & gifts from its members, grants from ecclesiastical or other organizations, and donations from individuals.

New year's pie for the Syndesmos of the Holy Metropolis of Demetrias
Tuesday, 27 January, 2015The new year's pie blessing by the Metropolitan of the Holy Diocese of Demetrias shall take place on Saturday February 7th 2015, at 7:00pm, in the Conference Center of the Metropolitan offices in Melisiatika. The reason of the event delay was the bad weather conditions during the first days of the new year. Christmas bazaar in the Cathedral of St Nikolaos - Volos 21/12/2014
Wednesday, 10 December, 2014Just before the accomplishment of the 21/12/2014 Holy Liturgy, we joined outside the Cathedral of the Holy Diocese Saint Nikolaos of Volos, in order to sell the second hand items we gathered and items we made by hand in the Construction Team of Syndesmos. Monday, 8 December, 2014In order to organize the Christmas Bazaar which is going to occur on 21/12/2014 at 10.00am in the Cathedral of the Holy Diocese St Nikolaos, we will meet in Perasma on 15/12/2014. During this meeting we will finish our works, make earrings with liquid glass, and little bottles of liqueur. We thank all of you who joined our team and help this effort. The earnings of the bazaar will be given to people who are in financial needs. -
fr Eirinaios to the Youth Syndesmos

Fr Eirinaios talked with young people for more than three hours explaining the role of the scientist nowadays and filling the gap that we may have in our mind between science and christianity. -

Searching for the freedom and equality - Youth Camp of Syndesmos
