Αctivities
Our members participate actively as catechists in parish youth groups, as camp leaders in the camps of the Diocese of Demetrias and as youth workers in parish youth centers
Annual week-long seminar (2001: "Church and Inter-gender relations", 2002: "Wealth and the Orthodox Church", 2003: "Education: mistakes, obstacles and perspectives")
Visits, pilgrimages and excursions to other cities of Greece or abroad (Italy, Turkey)
Annual inter-Orthodox camps for youth from all over the world onTrikeri Island, at the Monastery of St John the Forerunner in AnatoliAyias, and in St Lavrentios village, on Mount Pelion
Participation in inter-Orthodox youth programs of Syndesmos, the World Fellowship of Orthodox Youth, and in national youth conferences
Theatrical, music, ecological, sports, social groups
Cultural events in Volos and other smaller towns of the area
Operation of the Youth Center "Perasma" (63 Vassani Str., Volos)
Who we are
The Youth Association is a legally recognized body
Is governed by a five-member elected Board of Administration
Consists of youth from 18 to 35 years old, living in the Diocese of Demetrias, and participating actively in the youth activities of their Parish and Diocese
The Youth Association is independent and non-profit. It is funded exclusively through fees & gifts from its members, grants from ecclesiastical or other organizations, and donations from individuals.

Trip to Evia (30/03/2014)

On Sunday 30 March 2014 the Youth Association Syndesmos organised a trip to the Holy Monastery of Saint David, where the participants had the opportunity to talk with fr Makarios and the pilgrimage of Saint Ioannis Rosos to Evia. After the visit to the very beautiful pilgrimages the young people had their lunch to New Artaki and a walk to Chalkida. -
Trip to Constantinople 22-26/4/2014
Monday, 12 May, 2014A trip to Constantinople was accomplished during the Easter holidays from the Youth Association Syndesmos. The young people of Syndesmos had the opportunity to visit the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Monastery of the Holy Trinity of Chalki and the city of Andrianoupoli. -

Christmas activities December 2013
Thursday, 19 December, 2013Sunday 22-12-2013 from 10:00 a.m. until late in the evening the "Christmas kiosk 2013" is going to take place in the yard of the Cathedral Church Saint Nikolaos in Volos. Your presense there will give great joy to everyone. The financial income of the sellings from the kiosk will be given for charity purposes. -
Trip to Karpenisi and Prousos

Music night - constructions team
Thursday, 7 November, 2013on Thursday 7/11/2013, at 9.00 p.m. is programmed a music night with thw singer George Agapitos. The music night will take place in the building of "Perasma", 63 Vassani st, Volos. on Friday 8/11/2013, at 9.00 p.m. is programmed a meeting with the members of the constructions team. At this meeting the members are going to make liquer from this seasons fruits. This liquer will be sold at the Christmas exhibitions, in an effort to gather... -
Dinner - Sunday 1/12/2013
Monday, 4 November, 2013After the nice evening that was offered to young people on the Sunday 3/11/2013 dinner, a second dinner meeting was programmed on Sunday 1/12/2013. The general schedule programs a dinner on the first Sunday of every month. This is a chance for young people to meet, get to know each other and have some free time together. -
Feast of Prophet Ilias in Kalamaki village of mountain Pelion
Tuesday, 30 July, 2013The dancing section of "Syndesmos Association of Youth" took part in the feast of the Prophet Ilias in the Kalamaki Village, in Pelion mountain. After the invitation of the local authorities, young people of "Syndesmos" demonstrated in traditional clothing. At the overcrowded event, there were presented many traditional dancings until late midnight.
